Parent Meeting – Planning for the Adolescent Community

30 May 2017

On Tuesday the 30th of May there will be a very important Parent Meeting (7:00 – 8:30 p.m.) to discuss the re-opening of the Adolescent Community. This is to share information about the potential programme and for the Board to gauge current community interest and commitment. This is probably of most immediate interest for parents of our current Grade 2 to Grade 5 families. However, all parents are most welcome to attend.

For those parents who may not know, Adolescent Community (AC) is a Montessori term that refers to the 12 to 15 year old age group. This is more often described as ‘Middle School’ or ‘Junior Secondary’ in other education settings.

Forward planning is essential for the successful reintroduction of the Adolescent Community and parent involvement, awareness and feedback is incredibly important to the strategic planning process.

An invitation with more details will be emailed to all families prior to May 30.

Light refreshments will be provided.
