It’s true! Disco dancing can really improve your reading!
On 17 March, Montessori School held its second disco organised by the Parents and Friends Committee. There was a preschool session and a later primary session; the children had lots of fun with flashing lights, games and plenty of dancing. It was a really successful night and both children and parents had a great evening. Thanks to everyone who came along and contributed books, food, their time and their sense of fun. For those who volunteered to help on the night, it was greatly appreciated – many hands make light work.
As a result of the night we now have about 200 additional books for the new library and about 6,000,000 Rp. We will continue to grow the library and ask that any further books that families are willing to contribute can be dropped in to the office at any time. Heading overseas at the end of the school year for school holidays? Please consider bringing back some children’s books to add to our library.
We are also looking to add an informal adult section where pre-loved books can be swapped for another on the shelf – details to come.
