This term, the Extended Day children in the Rose Class had a special ‘Project Week’ where they made booklets entitled, ‘All About Myself’, during the week of 12th to 17th February 2017. The booklets were made with the help of their parents, who brought in pictures of the children with their families during play time and whilst engaging in hobbies such as ballet and soccer. There were also pictures of their pets, their siblings, their favourite food, holiday pictures and so many more!
The children were very eager to show their pictures to their friends, to make the booklets and to see glimpses of their friends outside of the school environment through the pictures and conversations that went on. There was certainly a lot of discussion, questions and excitement in the air. Through Project Week, the children developed a better understanding of their friends. The children were also able to put their creative juices to work by designing each page, decorating them with drawings and stickers. They also learnt to come up with their own captions to each picture as well as improve their handwriting skills.
Thank you, to the parents and children of the Extended Day group. It was indeed a fun-filled Project Week for all!
